Modifying Software Assets

A Technician (refer Technician Roles to know about access rights) can update the Details of a Software manually, which allows him/her to add important information relating to:

  • Cost of the Software.
  • License expiry info.
  • License Type.
  • Last audit date of the Software.
  • License key details.

A Technician also has the option to merge two or more Software into one using the Consolidation feature.

Editing Software Details

Go to the Details View of a Software Asset.

Scroll down to the Details tab. The Details tab shows the following information:

You can edit the Details fields using the Edit Icon. Clicking the edit icon opens a dialog box where you can edit the fields shown in Fig. 1051.

Editing Custom Fields

A Technician can also modify custom fields in the Custom Fields tab (Fig. 1051). Open Admin manual to know how to work with Custom Fields.
